“ Been here few time before, and the dim sum was excellent. Unfortunately this visit wasn't as positive. The sui mai ( my favorite) tasted old. I had to send this dish back. Seems it was a bit spoiled. The beef ball was also not as good as it use to be. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch of meat, or different chef. The server did say there was no change in kitchen staff though. The shrimp rice roll was still excellent. Singapore noodles good portion and tasty. This restaurant is very loud, even though it's not very busy. Service is always good though. Hope food improves, as I enjoy having dim sum here. ”
“ Not the first time coming here but to sum it up food was amazing, tender and good describing like if you ordered something sweet it would sweeten perfectly the way you want it. Food came out quickly was hot, everything was convenient. Would definitely come again I recommend the peking duck and snow pea leaves ”
“ This restaurant gets very busy and fills up quick. Reservations are highly recommended we booked for 5pm so we beat the rush and the food was able to come out pretty quick. Typical Chinese fare but it's pretty tasty, good portion and priced well. That's why it gets busy. ”
“ Dinner reservation’s recommended, the restaurant fills up fast. The noodles were bland, the egg yolk shrimp and salt and Pepper squid were not deep fried enough. The “wok” wasn’t hot enough… if you know what I mean. It would have been better but it’s still good. The service was quick. ”
“ Family came here on a Saturday after an action packed day of activities and running errands. This location is in a little strip mall with a very small parking lot so it was a challenge finding parking. Thankfully, a person pulled out when we came. But be prepared to park on the street or in the adjacent gravel lot. It looked like the businesses attached to the gravel lot had closed so not sure if you're allowed to park there. We have been to Phoenix Gate before but only to get frozen Siu Mai to go. We never have eaten there. This location has changed restaurants quite a few times. I remember when it used to be Tropika Malaysian Cuisine and then various Chinese restaurants over the years. We called ahead and they had a table waiting for us when we arrived. Good thing as it was packed. I noticed they were super efficient as well as tables left, they cleared it, and a new group sat. The food was excellent and they family thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We got 1 course Peking Duck - there were more wraps then at other places and the meat was tender. My wife craved for steamed fish so we also got the 1 course Ling Cod. The fish was flaky and came right off the bone. The kids love Fish Maw with Crab Meat soup so we had to get that. It was quite thick and tasty! My daughter wanted the Pork Belly and it was quite tender with good sauce. For veggies we ordered Stir Fry Snow Pea leaves which were also great. It was super busy at this restaurant and quite loud but we could still hold a conversation. Parking is a pain unfortunately. But other than that it was great and we will definitely be back. ”
